Classic Car and Bike Show Returns to Elgin
Classic car and bike enthusiasts should descend on Elgin for a show next month.
The event will be the second of its kind organized by Elgin BID, the organization that promotes the town centre.
It follows the first in 2019 which had attracted around a thousand visitors during the day.
Gemma Cruickshank, director of Elgin BID, is delighted that the motor show is returning this year with other events such as the Food and Drink Festival, which will take place on August 20.
She said: “After our Scottish themed day returned at the end of April, it’s obvious people want to attend events.
“Furthermore, it also shows the importance of offering something that showcases what Elgin has to offer and provides entertainment for locals and visitors alike.”
A host of classics will be located around the Plainstones, Commerce Street and South Street between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday June 18.
So far, 30 owners have signed up to show off their vehicles.
Elgin BID is currently continuing to accept applications until Thursday, June 16.
However, he warns that in 2019 he had to close the application process early due to high demand.
The £5 entry fee, which will go to charity, includes a refreshment voucher and the chance to win the coveted ‘Best in Show’ in the car or motorcycle category.
