SILVER CREEK – The Anderson-Lee Library, 43 Main Street, Silver Creek has named the Grand Prize winners for its summer reading program.

The program, called “Tales and tails”, challenged readers ages 1 to 17 to read or be read at least 15 minutes a day for 33 days. Those who read six days a week were entitled to a free book. Those who read during the 33 days were entered into a draw for a grand prize for their age group. Adults 18 and over had a bingo sheet with challenges to complete. For each completed bingo, the adults won a gift certificate to the Friends of the Library used book auction room and an entry for a large gift basket. Here are the grand prize winners:

¯ 13-17 years old, Ellie’s Deli gift card of $ 25: Julianna Smith

¯ 9-12 years old, scooter: Everett Dix

¯ 5-8 years old, scooter: Owen Raczka

¯ Birth-4, Private Play Party at Just My Imagination Workshop: Charlotte Parkhurst

Forty-one adults and 85 children aged 0 to 17 enrolled in the summer reading program.
