Summer car and bike show and entertainment scheduled for July 30

BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) — Beckley’s summer car and bike show is scheduled for Saturday, July 30 from 4-8 p.m. The City of Beckley and Shade Tree Car Club are working together to co-host the show this year.

Queuing for show vehicles along downtown streets will be between 4 and 6 p.m. with registration at the Shade Tree Caravan near Word Park. The $15 vehicle registration fee qualifies car owners for a souvenir dash plate, specialty awards and prizes. Specialty trophies at this show include Mayor’s and City Department’s Favorites, People’s Choice, as well as several others.

An exciting feature of this car and bike show is the live entertainment. Enjoy Motown music from the How Great Thou Art theater group at Word Park from 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Additionally, country musicians Alan Kinsler and Peyton Alexis will perform near the Cardinals sculpture at the corner of Neville and Heber from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Several food vendors have signed up to set up and offer fair picks. In addition, games and activities will be available at Word Park.

The community is invited to visit this free event to see the beautiful rides, enjoy free live entertainment, play games and try local food trucks. For more information, visit the Beckley Events or Shade Tree Facebook pages.
