11 retailers were found to have potentially dangerous riding gear at the London Motorcycle Show. Some gear was found to even have fraudulent labels and even fake armor after a spot inspection by Newham Trading Standards.
Fraudulent products have been quarantined or even confiscated due to a new crackdown on retailers selling dangerous and fraudulent projects. The on-site inspection was aimed at catching illegal manufacturers and retailers who are putting the lives of hundreds of bikers at risk.

As of April 21, 2018, ALL motorcycle clothing sold in the UK and EU carries the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) label, which means it must, by law, be tested and certified .

If a garment has not yet been tested, it will not receive the required certification label. As a result, he cannot guarantee the safety of the motorcyclist on the road and the garment is declared “non-compliant”.

The products were confiscated
